It was a hot weekend in Williamsburg – ideal timing to participate in the #ALSicebucketchallenge.
Though I don’t make it a habit to partake in viral social media campaigns, I find the convergence of community, awareness, and generosity within the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to be utterly inspiring and brilliant.
Nearly 5 years ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with ALS, very few people I spoke with knew what ALS is; I’m feeling quite optimistic that that’s changing.
